About me
Alison Brooke-Turner
I have lived and worked in London all my life and have a passion for all its history, art, architecture and culture. London is a vibrant, diverse city brim-full of stories of its people and with the juxtaposition of old and new buildings the ever changing landscape will surprise and amaze you.
I was a Paediatric Intensive care nurse for many years before becoming a Blue Badge guide and I have been a University Senior Lecturer in Child Health. I have recently been a college tutor for senior students on a course about the History of London and I take regular walking tours all over London.
My 30 years experience of working with children means I am the ideal tour guide for you and your family with the ability to respond to the needs and level of children of all ages. I devise tours for children and love nothing more than providing relaxed, fun and lively tours for the young and the young at heart!

Blue Badge Guides are often the ONLY external guides permitted to conduct tours at many attractions, including Westminster Abbey and the Tower of London. We bring the sites to life, often telling the stories that are not in the guide books or audio tours. With your own knowledgeable and entertaining guide, you can ask questions and find out more about what interests you.
City of London Guide
City Guides are the Official Guides to the City of London. The full title of our association is the City of London Guide Lecturers Association, which reflects the fact that our members give walks in the City and lecture on City related topics. The Association was founded in 1983 to promote and maintain a high standard of guiding in, and lecturing about, the City of London. As well as giving walks and tours, many of our members offer lecture titles connected to the City.
